It is not recommended that unfinished furniture be painted with a solid color paint. Staining or clear wood protector is acceptable and encouraged but painting should be avoided.
This Weathercraft Resort Series Adirondack Balcony / Pub Chair is made of furniture quality #1 grade premium lumber. All of which is pressure treated with an environmental friendly preservative called ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary). Pressure treating furniture this way is a process that’s approved by the EPA and endorsed by several environmental groups.
All wood is kiln re-dried before being cut into parts and constructed into furniture. This entire process is what makes the Weathercraft Resort Series Adirondack Balcony / Pub Chair more suitable for outdoor conditions and being resistant to wood rot, decay and destructive insects.
